GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE & SALE

Welcome to Rubicon Wellness. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our facilities, website, and services (including Float Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Infrared Sauna/Wellness services). By booking an appointment, purchasing a service or product, or using our facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. SALES AND REFUND POLICY (ALL SALES FINAL)

1.1 All Sales Final
Except where explicitly stated otherwise in our Membership or Gift Card terms, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cash equivalents for purchased single sessions, service packages, retail products, or gift cards once the transaction is complete.

1.2 Non-Refundable Services
Payment for any service (Float, Massage, or Wellness) is due at the time of booking or upon arrival as per our booking policy. Once a service has been provided, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

1.3 Retail Products
All retail product sales (e.g., supplements, skincare, accessories) are final. We do not accept returns on opened or used products. Defective products may be exchanged for the same item within 7 days of purchase at our discretion.

1.4 Pre-Paid Packages
Pre-paid service packages (e.g., "3-Float Pack") are non-refundable. However, packages are transferable to other guests and do not expire, unless otherwise explicitly specified in the promotion details at the time of purchase.


2. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER & HEALTH SAFETY

2.1 Not Medical Advice
Rubicon Wellness provides wellness services for relaxation and stress relief. Our services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Information provided by our staff or website is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

2.2 Client Responsibility
You are responsible for consulting with your physician before using our services, especially if you are pregnant, have a history of heart conditions, low blood pressure, epilepsy, kidney disease, or are currently under medical care.

2.3 Contraindications for Floating
For your safety and the safety of others, you may not use the float tanks if you have:

  • Open wounds, recent tattoos (less than 4 weeks old), or skin infections;
  • Incontinence or uncontrolled epilepsy;
  • Have applied hair dye within the last 7 days or if the dye is not fully set;
  • Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


3. FACILITY RULES & CONDUCT

3.1 Hygiene
All clients must take a thorough shower with soap and shampoo before entering the float tanks or using the sauna. This is critical to maintain the sanitation of our water filtration systems.

3.2 Damage to Facilities
You are liable for any damage you cause to the facilities or equipment. Specifically, if you contaminate the float tank water (e.g., with hair dye, bodily fluids, or tanning products) requiring the tank to be drained and refilled, you will be charged a cleaning and salt replacement fee of up to $1,000.

3.3 Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these Terms, acts in a disorderly or disrespectful manner toward staff or other guests, or whom we deem unsafe to use the facilities.


4. APPOINTMENT & CANCELLATION POLICIES

Please refer to our specific Service Cancellation Policies for details on late cancellations and no-shows. In general:

  • Massage: 24-hour notice required.
  • Float/Wellness: 12-hour notice required.
  • Late Arrivals: We cannot extend service times for late arrivals. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may need to reschedule, and a cancellation fee may apply.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By using our facilities, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with wellness activities, including but not limited to slip-and-fall hazards on wet floors. You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release and hold harmless Rubicon Wellness, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of your use of the facilities.


6. SMS/TEXT MESSAGING TERMS

By opting into our SMS program, users will receive appointment alerts, promotions, and notifications. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service.

You will receive periodic messages. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.


7. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in King County and Kirkland, Washington.

Rubicon Wellness reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website.
